If you, like everyone else in the world, have been spending your lockdown binging Queer Eye like there’s no tomorrow, we’ve got some happy news for you. JVN has tied the knot!
Yes, you read that right, one more of the Fab Five is off the market. I couldn’t be happier for JVN.
Given how out of the blue the news was though, here’s the inside scoop on the big day and JVN’s husband, Mark Peacock.
JVN’s Big Announcement
I’m a big supporter of Jonathan Van Ness, or JVN as he’s endearingly known. I’ve written about him before, because I love his messages of self-acceptance and embracing your most authentic self. I also appreciate JVN’s nonbinary gender expression.
So imagine my surprise when he casually announced he’d tied the knot to his 5.3 million followers on Instagram. We should have known JVN would be living his best life while most of the world was hating on 2020!
JVN let the cat out of the bag on December the 31st. In a post summing up what an amazing 2020 he’s had, he wrote, “I got married to my best friend & having a loving partner to continue building my life with.”
After being flooded with well wishes and congratulations from his followers, he elaborated in another post on the second of January. He shared a stunning snap of their backyard wedding ceremony, as well as many other photos of him and his new husband.
In the caption, he wrote, “We went on a date in London, which turned into more dates… Something about Mark felt different and I’m quite sure he felt the same,” adding, “Here’s some of my favorite moments together and here’s to making many more”.
He also tagged his new husband in the post, so we followed that link to find out everything we could about the lucky groom!

Who is JVN’s Husband, Mark Peacock?
Given JVN only broke up with former beau Wilco Froneman towards the end of 2018, you can be forgiven for not knowing anything at all about JVN’s husband. But we’ve got the low down.
Mark Peacock is a fitness expert originally from England — London to be precise. He moved in 2020 to be with JVN full-time. Reportedly, the two were friends for some time before beginning to date.
Mark shared the news on his own Instagram following JVN’s post. He shared some incredibly cute snaps of the couple, including one of their big day where they wore cream jackets.
In the caption, he wrote, “2020 brought on more changes than I’ve ever been part of before. I left London and moved across the Atlantic… [I] got married to my soulmate and one true love”.
Though we’ve been shown the couple’s adorable dog, Pablo, plenty of times before on their Instagram feed, Mark added, “[I] adopted a little Jack Russell called Pablo and entered a family with 4 amazing cats.”

Other reports state that the happy couple was married in a rented summer home by a judge, while their parents watched via FaceTime.

Obviously, JVN’s husband Mark Peacock and the star himself have been flooded with congratulations and I’d like to add mind to the list. It’s wonderful to have found love in an otherwise chaotic year.
