Commercial real estate podcasts are one of the most pleasurable and efficient ways to keep up with the latest developments within the industry. Due to the ever-changing name of the commercial real estate market, they are a savvy way to stay on top of recent news and trends.

So, without further ado, here’s my list of the top 12 commercial real estate podcasts you should be listening to.

1. Best Real Estate Investing Advice Ever

The name pretty much sums it up this show, which is one of the top podcasts for successful commercial real estate investors.

Hosted by Joe Fairless, this podcast delves deeply into the world of commercial real estate. Joe Fairless is an apartment syndicator and the co-founder of Ashcroft Capital, a commercial real estate private equity firm that has aggregated over $1 billion of assets under management.

With an astounding 2,000 episodes recorded to date, there’s a ton to explore.

2. The Real Estate Syndication Show

This 7-day-a-week podcast is hosted by Whitney Sewell, the founder and owner of Life Bridge Capital, LLC, a multi-family syndicated real estate investment firm. On the show, Whitney hosts a diverse range of commercial real estate entrepreneurs, with the aim to help new investors to learn how the real estate syndication business works.

For those who aren’t familiar with the term, real estate syndication is when a person or company partners with investors to acquire and fund the purchase of a real estate asset.

3. Self Storage Income Podcast

In the Self Storage Income Podcast hosted by AJ Osborne, you’ll learn how to buy, manage, and profitably sell self storage facilities. Whether or not you’re interested in this commercial real estate niche, AJ’s advice for how to acquire value-add deals, efficiently operate them, and exit for a profit will help you to become a more savvy investor.

This is one of the best all-around CRE podcasts available. Michael Bull of Bull Realty hosts this analytical program, which provides timely advice on market trends, forecasts, and real estate strategies.

If you in invest in, develop, own, or rent out any type of commercial real estate, then this show is for you.

It’ll keep you up to date on CRE market trends, as well as alert you to emerging risks and opportunities.

5. Commercial Investment Real Estate Podcast

This is an awesome podcast for commercial real estate professionals of every stripe.

It’s a monthly program featuring 30-minute episodes and is a companion to the quarterly Commercial Investment Real Estate (CIRE) magazine.

The episodes cover a wide array of topics, so there’s something for everyone. Plus, this podcast has received an impressive 4.9/5.0 star rating on Apple iTunes.

6. The Real Estate Guys Radio Show

This show began as a radio program way back in 1997, before podcasts were even a thing!

It’s hosted by Robert Helms and Russell Gray, who discuss a wide variety of topics and conduct interviews with leaders in the real estate industry.

The Real Estate Guys is one of my top recommended real estate podcasts for investors because it has proven the test of time.

7. The Propcast

I’m happy to report that this is a commercial real estate podcast hosted by a woman!

The Propcast, hosted by Louisa Dickins, is a weekly podcast that covers everything “PropTech”. Proptech is a word that describes how technology can be used to optimize the ways in which people research, rent, buy, sell, or manage a property.

Meaning, it’s all about applying innovative technology to the world of real estate.

The Propcast discusses real estate from a global perspective and looks at where tech trends are heading.

8. Commercial Real Estate Online

While this is a lesser known podcast, it does a great job of tackling complex commercial real estate matters in brief, to-the-point episodes.

Hosted by John Highman, the program deals largely with property management and commercial properties. Highman’s advice is excellent for real estate novices and veterans alike.

To date, Highman has recorded an impressive 315 podcast episodes.

9. Real Estate REality Check

Larry Haber’s REality Check is one of the best commercial real estate podcasts out there.

It features interviews and conversations with top real estate professionals, with a view to advising newbies on how to build a career in the industry. I like it because it’s entertaining and informative at the same time.

Larry Haber is a former CRE developer. Today he is the managing partner within the Commercial Real Estate Department of the law firm Abrams Garfinkel Margolis Bergson, LLP (“AGMB”).

While most lawyers aren’t entertaining, Larry surprisingly is!

10. Office Politics: The Battle for the Future of Work

Produced by Bisnow, this five-part series takes a serious look at the changing workplace in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

As the podcast teaser states, this is a podcast examining the future of the commercial real estate industry, from the “murky future of retail and office to real estate’s reckoning with diversity to the effects of climate change on the built world, and so much more.”

These topics are critical to all CRE professionals, because the pandemic has changed the nature of the commercial real estate industry as we known it.

This commercial real estate podcast is hosted by Spencer Levy, CBRE’s Chairman of Americas Research. CBRE Group is the largest commercial real estate investment firm in the world with annual revenues of $23.8 billion and more than 100,000 employees.

Although the Bigger Pockets Podcast is not exclusively about commercial real estate—it also includes residential real estate topics—it’s an incredibly fun and educational listen.
